Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz is chief dramatic adviser at the Volksoper Vienna and the artistic director of "Theatersommer Haag".

He plans, writes, designs, and presents soirees, matinees, and lectures on significant topics, works, and characters of opera, operetta, and musical.

Theatersommer Haag 2016


After a succesful season 2015 director Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz presented the program for the Theatersommer Haag 2016: "Ein seltsames Paar" by Neil Simon. Werner Sobotka will be directing the piece, Fritz Hammel and Boris Pfeifer will be seen in the lead rolls. The Theatersommer Haag takes place from July 6 - August 13 with 20 scheduled performances.

Awards for "Richard Strauss and his Heroines"

Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz is featured in the film Richard Strauss and his Heroines (Trailer) by Thomas von Steinaecker. The film was recently awarded with the ECHO Klassik 2015 (category: „Music-DVD-Production of the year“), previously it also received the International Classical Music Award.
